New congress hall: jury sets out on work

The international jury, which should select the best among preliminary project proposals received within the competition announced for the congress and conference center in Banja Luka, started to work.

As many as 110 architects from all over the world decided to participate in this competition, which is a city competition with the highest response rate in the recent history of the city.

Taking into account a number of received proposals, a lot of work is ahead of the jury in order for another symbol of the city to be created.

  • With competitions like this one, a jury usually has a one month period to evaluate the received proposals and opt for the best ones. I believe that new deadlines will have to be set as we have been currently working under different conditions caused by Covid-19 pandemic. Also, a huge number of received proposals will most certainly affect the time it will take to finalize the evaluation process – the city architect, Mr Ivan Raskovic, said.

The best solution will be awarded with 30.000 Euro.
