Banja Luka got the first Western Balkans songwroting hub located in the Milanović House. The opening of the Hab together with representatives of the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation was also attended by the project manager of the City of Banja Luka Milada Šukalo, who emphasized that the city administration led by Mayor Stanivuković is fully committed to supporting the development of culture and creative industries in our city. Project coordinator Mario Milanović said that Banja Luka has always had good singers and musicians, but that there has always been a lack of people involved in song writing. – This space is intended for young people who will have the opportunity to work with mentors from the region and master the knowledge of songwriting and production – he said. On behalf of the project donor, the Italian Agency for Development and Cooperation, the opening of the hab was attended by the deputy director of the office in Tirana Letizia Fischioni, who said that we are all aware that culture and creative industries are often not a priority for governments in the world, however, the Italian Agency for Development and Cooperation believes that culture and creativity are very important for innovation and creation of new energy in the country as well as investing in young people.
