The memorial statue of Marshal Georgy Zhukov was ceremoniously unveiled

On the occasion of celebrating the Victory Day over Fascism – a victory that designated the end of World War II in Europe and the end of the worst human suffering of modern times, a ceremony of unveiling the memorial statue of the Soviet military leader and Marshal Georgy Konstantinovich Zhukov was held in Banja Luka on 7 May 2021.

The memorial statue, which is placed in the Square of Fallen Soldiers, was unveiled by the Mayor of Banja Luka Mr. Draško Stanivuković and His Excellency Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Bosnia and Herzegovina Mr. Igor Kalabuhov. They also laid wreaths in honor of all the soldiers fallen in the World War II.
